Rewards

Clear conditions and no mystery points

Every reward names its funding source, and nothing is promised before a payment settles.

The reward lifecycle

  1. Quote — checkout asks the rewards engine for an eligibility quote.
  2. Display — the estimate is shown with its material conditions.
  3. Pending — a successful payment creates a pending reward ledger entry.
  4. Confirm — after settlement and the return-risk window, the reward is confirmed.
  5. Available — it moves to a withdrawable or redeemable balance under the product rules.
  6. Reverse — a refund, chargeback, duplicate or fraud event posts a reversing entry. History is never edited in place.

Every reward has a funding source

A reward is only offered where partner economics exist to fund it. Where no funding source exists, no reward is shown — rather than showing one and reversing it later.

Card interchange alone cannot fund a meaningful reward on a rent-sized payment. Rewards on high-ticket recurring obligations have to come from partner economics, not from the payment rail.

What is not promised here

  • No rate is stated as an unconditional claim. Eligibility, caps and conditions are set per campaign.
  • Nothing is described as instant. Confirmation follows settlement and the return-risk window.
  • No reward exists in this prototype at all — the lifecycle is demonstrated, not funded.
